The West African Football Union has concluded the draw for the WAFU A Under-17 Tournament which is scheduled to start earlier next month and Sierra Leone has been drawn with the following countries in Group B: Senegal , Mauritania, and Guinea . While Group A captures: host nation Mali , Liberia, Gambia and Guinea Bissau
The Sierra Stars (Sierra Leone Under-17) will kickstart the WAFU A campaign against Senegal on Monday, October 6, 2025 in Group B match day one, followed by Mauritania on Thursday, October 9, in match day two and then lock horns in match day three with neighbouring Guinea on Sunday, October 12
Intensive preparations are underway with the Sierra Stars under the leadership of Head Coach Dominic John Konneh and his experience backroom staff
The boys are highly spirited for the much anticipated October WAFU A tournament in Bamako, Mali
Sierra Leone National U-17 Team technical Team have shortlisted 30 players to undergo the MRI test in the coming weeks as they prepared for the upcoming Tournament.
