Sierra Leone Golf Association has on the 20th April; depart for Ivory Coast to represent the Country in the 21st Ivory Coast Open Tournament that is set to take place on the 21st April to the 26th 2021.
The Association got their supports from the Ministry of Sports in collaboration with the National Sports Authority as they are charge with responsibility to manage the sporting disciplines in the Country.
Five golfers made the trip with their head coach and the Directors at the National Sports Authority, Mr. Spain who will be serving as the head of delegation.
According to the President of the Sierra Leone Golf Association, Tito Sankoh said his golfers are in top gears ahead of the task at hand and well determined to win the tournament, because for the past three months they have been engaged in an intensive training for this Tournament.
He affirmed that the five local golfers that made the trip are professionals and have represented Sierra Leone in numerous International competitions and expressed confidence that they will bring laurels back home.
Mr. Sankoh, however thank the Government by extension the Ministry of Sports, and the National Sports Authority for making it possible for them to represent Sierra Leone in the 21st Ivory Coast Open Tournament as this is their first International trip under the current sporting administration.
