Sierra Leone Football Association President Engages Orange SL to Strengthen Football Partnership

In his ongoing efforts to secure corporate sponsorship and partnerships for the growth and development of football in Sierra Leone, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, met with Mr. Sekou Amadou Bah, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone, and Mr. Mamadou Bousso, the company’s Marketing Director, on Thursday at the company’s headquarters in Hill Station, Freetown.

The high-level meeting focused on exploring potential areas of collaboration between the SLFA and Orange Sierra Leone aimed at promoting and supporting football across the country.

During the engagement, Orange CEO Sekou Amadou Bah reaffirmed the company’s commitment to football, stating that “football is in the DNA of Orange.” He highlighted that wherever Orange operates globally, the company has consistently invested in the sport. Mr. Bah further noted that although no formal system had previously been established to facilitate support for football in Sierra Leone, the company is now ready and willing to contribute to the game’s growth.

In his presentation, President Babadi Kamara outlined a comprehensive strategic plan for the development of football, covering both domestic and international competitions. He emphasized his administration’s commitment to building sustainable partnerships that would drive progress at all levels of the game.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism about forging a mutually beneficial partnership to advance football development in Sierra Leone.
