The Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has approved a series of landmark reforms aimed at revitalizing the country’s football ecosystem and establishing a sustainable football calendar.
One of the major announcements includes a thrilling Men’s Super Cup encounter between Leone Rock Premier League champions, East End Lions, and runners-up Bhantal FC, scheduled for October 31st, 2025. Following this, the Leone Rock Premier League 2025/26 season will officially kick off on November 8th, 2025.
In a groundbreaking move, the SLFA, under the leadership of President Babadi Kamara, has introduced the Women’s Super Cup, marking the first time in Sierra Leone’s football history. This historic match will feature Ram Kay FC (champions) against Mogbwemo Queens FC (runners-up) in a highly anticipated fixture set for November 1st, 2025.
This milestone represents a signficant step forward in advancing gender equality and inclusion within Sierra Leone football. For the first time, the Super Cup will spotlight women’s football, underscoring the SLFA’s commitment to empowering female athletes and expanding opportunities for women in the sport.
Additionally, the Women’s Premier League is scheduled to commence on November 15th, 2025, promising to be one of the most exciting football seasons in recent years.
