The Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has appointed Mrs. Patricia Alpha Barrie as the new Finance Director effective immediately.
Mrs. Barrie’s extensive experience in financial management, administration, and institutional governance is expected to help SLFA achieve its financial goals. The Executive Committee expresses full confidence in her competence and professionalism, believing that her leadership will enhance accountability and efficiency in the Association’s financial operations.
The SLFA aims to establish economic stability within the organization, particularly following past FIFA restrictions due to poor funding management for football development in the country. Mrs. Barrie faces a significant challenge in navigating the football ecosystem while driving development initiatives.
In related news, the Sierra Leone Football Association has launched a Goalkeeping Coaching Course aimed at developing goalkeepers in the country. The training course is set to begin later this month, with numerous goalkeeping coaches expected to participate.
