Sierra Leone Female U-20 Side Starts Training Ahead Of WAFU Tournament

Ahead of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) tournament the technical team for U20 named forty players for training.

The head coach for starlet, Hassan M Mansaray has named forty players for training in preparation ahead of the WAFU zone A U20 female tournament to be hosted in Sierra Leone from May 22nd till June 3rd this year.

Seven players were called from the just concluded Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League champions Mogbwema Queens in Rutile, six players from the runners up kahuna Queens in Kenema, three players from Police FC in the Western Area who ended third place in the just concluded female premier league.

Seven players from Mena Queens in Makeni took eight places, five players from Ram Kay FC in Bo ended fifth in the female league, one player from FC Kallon female in the western area, ended the league with the seventh position, two players from Patricia Humu in Kambia that took the nine position, one player each from the bottom teams in the just concluded female league Koya Queens in Mile 38 and Albitaya in Kabala. The players have already commenced training.

The last time the under-20 clashed in an international was last year when they were knocked out by the Guinean national female team by away in Liberia.
