In a gesture of enduring friendship and bilateral goodwill, the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Kuwait, on behalf of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, the Government, and the people of Sierra Leone, extended warm felicitations to His Highness Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on the occasion of Kuwait’s 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day, celebrated on 25 and 26 February 2025.
The Embassy’s message conveyed wishes for continued prosperity, security, and happiness as Kuwait marks these historic milestones.
Highlighting the longstanding and robust ties between Sierra Leone and Kuwait, the Embassy underscored decades of cordial diplomatic relations built on mutual respect, shared developmental interests, and cooperation across multiple sectors. It also recalled Sierra Leone’s role
in Kuwait’s landmark liberation, a historical moment that continues to symbolize solidarity between the two nations.
Officials noted that the bilateral friendship extends beyond ceremonial gestures, reflecting a commitment to ongoing collaboration in areas such as economic diversification, education, healthcare, and development assistance. The Embassy emphasized that Kuwaiti-Sierra Leonean cooperation holds the potential to expand opportunities for trade, investment, and cultural exchange, benefiting citizens of both countries.
In conclusion, the Embassy reiterated its hope that relations between Sierra Leone and Kuwait will deepen further in the coming years. It called for continued mutual support on international platforms, reinforcing a shared commitment to peace, stability, and sustainable development.
