The Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) will on the 26th June 2021 have its Elective Congress to establish an administration executive that will take charge of the affairs of the organization in the coming years.
According to Francis Trevor Samura the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association the mandate of the current board will end on the 25th June 2021 and in line with the constitution of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association when the term of the board expires.
The Chairman has the right to called for an Elective Congress within 90 days and the current Chairman waste no time as he has decided to stage the Elective Congress on the 26th June 2021.
He affirmed that, the 26th June has been slated for the Elective Congress where the membership will vote to elect new executive.
A total of 101 members will have to take part in the Elective Congress and will vote for five positions.
The list of Candidates is below. The budget will be read to the Membership during the time for the Elective Congress as the documentation is currently on the way and will be available on the day of Congress.

Another release from the Sierra Leone Cricket Association, Board Secretary, Daniel Koroma, reads “It is very clear that members who wanted an extension for the Chairman and Vice-Chairman were in the majority but the magic number of 66 was not achieved.
Owing to the fact that the threshold of 2/3 was not met, the resolution has been quashed. On that note, the CEO had published the nomination lists of varied categories as they head straight to elections on the 26th June, 2021.”
The Annual General Meeting (elective congress) of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association will be held at the Sierra Leone Police Wives Association Multi-Purpose Hall opposite Police Communications Headquarters, Battery Street, Kingtom, Freetown.
