The Sierra Leone Basketball Federation is set to launch the highly anticipated Afrimoney National Basketball Division 1 (Western Area) Championship this Wednesday, promising an exciting season of top-level basketball action.
The opening day will feature a strong lineup of matches at the Stadium Basketball Court. In the first game, Sierra Titans will face Dock Cannol at 6:00 PM, setting the stage for a competitive clash. Later in the evening, defending champions Forcian will begin their title defense by hosting Archibald Red Flames at 8:00 PM.
Basketball fans are encouraged to turn out in large numbers, as “the game is back,” with all roads leading to the Stadium Basketball Court for what promises to be an entertaining start to the season.
This year’s competition features 10 teams divided into two conferences, all battling for supremacy and a place in the playoffs. Teams within the same conference will face each other twice, while inter-conference matchups will be played once, making every game crucial in the race for qualification.
With strong rivalries, tactical gameplay, and high-energy performances expected throughout the campaign, fans can look forward to a season filled with intense battles and memorable moments on the court.
