Cairo – Tuesday, 23 November 2021 : A high level delegation led by Amara Kallon, Deputy Minister of Political and Public Affairs, Dr. Charles Joezie Silver, Executive Chairman APRM, Mohamed Alpha Koroma, Program Assistant APRM met with staff of Sierra Leone Embassy in Cairo Tuesday, 23 November 2021.
They were received by Samuel Alie Kargbo, Charge d’affaires Embassy of Sierra Leone in Sarayat Maadi, Cairo.
The delegation is in Cairo on the invitation of the APRM Continental Secretariat to attend a high level Peer Review Forum on South-South
Coopération on the theme:
“Agility and resilience in Africa and global South” from 23rd to 25th November, 2021.
According to Mohamed Alpha Koroma, Program Assistant APRM, the conference serves as a regional platform for African Countries to take stock on the implementation of BAPA+ outcome document as well as share best governance practices on the role of SSC and TrCs in the promotion of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 2063, particularly resilient economic and health policies during the COVID-19 crisis.
The delegation will hold meetings with the CEO of the APRM Continental Secretariat to discuss issues bordering on African governance generally and possible peer review of government priority areas as enshrined in our Medium Term National Development Plan. On the margins, they will hold bilateral meetings with ISDB and Egyptian Agency for Partnership.
The team was taken on a conducted tour of the Chancery building by Samuel Alie Kargbo, Charge d’affaires and staff of the Embassy.
