Sierra Leone Swimming Diving and Water Polo Association Swimmers to the Commonwealth Games (Sierra Dolphins) on 26th July 2022 held their second training at the Pool in Birmingham ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

The Swimmers are in high spirits for the Commonwealth games and they have prepared highly in Sierra Leone before going for the games, among the Swimmers that made the trip to England are two Olympians in the person of Joshua J.J. Wyse and Tity Dumbuya both last represented Sierra Leone in the Olympics Games in Japan with good timing, the other two Isha Kanu and Mohamed Kamara have gotten a couple of years of international outings representing Sierra Leone in Swimming.

President of the Sierra Leone Swimming Diving and Water Polo Association, Mohamed Turay said the athlete that departs Sierra Leone for the Commonwealth Games are qualified athletes and they were selected based on time trials and based on that they were chosen to represent Sierra Leone. He express confident that they will bring laurels back home.
