Sierra Leone National under 20 teams (Shooting Stars) on 5th September 2022 trashed Guinea Bissau by four goals to one in their last match in the West Africa Football tournament in Mauritania.

Both Shooting Stars and Guinea Bissau came into the match after losing their first two matches and both look to secure a win and end the tournament on a good footing. Guinea Bissau got their opening goal in the 43rd minute of play as Brima Camara converted a loose pass in the half of Sierra Leone to give them an early lead, and look a threat in front of goal.

The Shooting Stars started the match with pace play looking to play attack-minded with more threats against the Bissau team and that pay off as Momoh Kamara get a penalty in the 45th minute deep into the second half as it was converted by him to the Shooting Stars lead before the second half of play as if it was (1-1) all.

After the recess, both nations returned to action with more hopes as they looked to secure all three points in their last match in the West Africa Zonal A tournament.

Shooting Stars continue their threats on the attacking front causing more pressure on the defense of Guinea Bissau Shooting Stars gets their second goal in the 56 minutes of play which was scored by Momoh Kamara putting the Stars by two goals to one.

Sierra Leone National under 20 teams (Shooting Stars) added two more goals in the 65, and 79 minutes of play in the second half as which see them get win against Guinea Bissau.

Sierra Leone National under sides started the tournament with a poor performance against the Malians and the host Mauritania as they lose to them both by huge goal margined and that cause them not to qualify for the next rounds of the tournament.

The lads restored honor to Sierra Leone by defeating Guinea Bissau by a whopping 1:4 and grabbing the MOTM Award (in the person of Momoh Kamara) despite failing to progress to the next stage of the tournament.

Shooting Stars looked excellent in every department on the pitch on match day and seemed to have perfectly corrected their mistakes made in the first two matches. But a lot of Lessons need to be learned in such international tournament preparation and the approach as well needs to be taken into consideration.
