Security Guard To Face High Court For Alleged Wounding With Intent

Muctar Mustapha a security guard made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Wounding with intent Wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

 

According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 26tg October 2023 at No.4 Lombay drive off Regent Road Lumley the western area in Freetown wounded Sallaymatu Kaliva with intent to do her grievous bodily harm.

On count two and three the accused person on the above date and place maliciously wounded and assaulted the said Sallaymatu Kaliva in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.

When the charges were read and explained to the accused person No plea was taken

The prosecutor, deputy Superintendent of police, Marie Sesay Led three witnesses including the facul witness who narrated her ordeals.

 

Magistrate Gogra delivered his Ruling.

He said he has looked at the evidence and he is of the view that the prosecution has adduced sufficient evidence in order to warrant a committal of the matter to the High Court for trial.

He granted the accused person bail in the sum of twenty thousand Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to be employed in a government institution in Sierra Leone.

Sureties to be resident within this jurisdiction surety to produce valid national passport   for identification, one surety to be elderly citizen bail to the approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar.
