A team from the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) headed by Managing Director, Ing. George Lamin Vandi visited the Kabala Water Supply Project which when completed will supply clean and reliable drinking water to hundred percent of the population of Kabala Town and communities along the Musia-Kabala Highway. The field visit took place on last weekend and it had an aim of engaging residents, the consultant and the contractor of the project.
The team also included Director of Project Management, Ing. Yankuba Tarawally and the Director of Procurement Services, Mr. Joe Gbouma-Alieu of SALWACO, among others.
At a townhall meeting at Musia in the Falaba District, the SALWACO MD spoke about how the government is committed to improving the lives of people, adding that the Six Towns Water Project is fully funded by the Government of Sierra Leone, headed by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Rtd. Brg. Dr. Julius Maada Bio.
Ing. Vandi added that the Six Towns Water Supply Project is something huge for Sierra Leone and that, it will serve more than 300,000 people.
Community authorities appreciated SALWACO and the Government of President Bio and expressed their full support to the President for his developmental strides.
