Sierra Leone’s fastest rising musician, Nelson Idriss Kargbo who goes by the stage name Markmuday aka “water Lara,” the CEO of Slim Nation has been nominated on Global music Award 2021.
He is featured along with other Africa Artists namely: Davido, Shatta Wale, Diamond Plantinumz, Burna Boy and Kuami Eugene.
A Music maestro in an interview observed that Markmuday has made Sierra Leone proud.

Markmuday was born and raised in Freetown and has been passionate about music since he was a teenager. He started to play the keyboard, sing and write Afro-pop songs without ever going to any music classes.
His big hit, ‘Pepe Wata’, was released in 2015. He also released ‘How Ar Connect’ in March 2016 to wide acclaim. Currently, Markmuday works on his own label called Waterlara Music.
