15 yrs old Sierra Leone’s athlete in track and Field event in the Tokyo Japan 2020 Paralympics games, Juan Faith Jackson, is ready to take on World Classed Athletes in the final of F46 Javelin throw on today 3rd September,2021 at 7pm Japan time, (10am Sierra Leone time) at the Olympic Stadium in Japan.
During the final Juan will be competing against world class athletes in Javelin throw like, Hollie Arnold of Britain who is preparing herself for a battle as she heads to Tokyo to defend her Paralympic title.
The Holton-le-Clay star will make her way to Japan for her fourth games, and she heads east with an almighty target on her back.
The 27-year-old has dominated the F46 javelin in recent years, having been crowned world champion on four occasions and with a Paralympic gold medal already in her bag from Rio five years ago.
Also, in the final Juan will be competing against Holly Robinson of New Zealand (NZL) age 26 years. She finished second to Britain’s Hollie Arnold at the Paralympics, World Championships and Commonwealth Games in the past, but enters the race as the top-ranked athlete.
Juan Jackson of Sierra Leone was able to qualify to the Tokyo 2020 during the World Athletics Grand Prix held in Tunisia in March this year. She told the press that she is focused and determined to make her mark for Sierra Leone.
The Freetown Secondary School for Girls JSS 3 Pupils rounded up her training and is now under the guidance of her coach for mental alertness to take on the world Stars .
The other Africa that will be competing alongside Juan is Boukoufa Achoura from Algeria who will be bringing her experience from world championship in Dubai.
