The Sierra Leone Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Association have on Saturday 23rd October 2021 elected a new membership that will steer the affairs of the Association for the next four years.
The Election took place at Negus Negas Multipurpose center in the East end of Freetown. The Elective Congress was chaired by the Vice President of Badminton in Sierra Leone in the person of Percy Nicholson.
“Am happy to here to Chaired the Elective Congress because the Association has been one of the Peaceful Sporting Disciplines in the more structured Country”, he said.
The Elective Congress recognized the presence of the National Sports Authority as the head of Media Eric Batilo said The National Sports Authority is aware of the tremendous impact the Sierra Leone Diving and Water Polo Association has done over the years including the out outstanding performance in the 14th Senior Swimming Championship in Ghana Accra where Tity Dumbuya did extremely well in Flying the Country`s flag Internationally.
The following are the new members that were elected to the Executive of the Sierra Leone Swimming and Diving Polo Association
1. Mohamed Abdul Turay is voted as the President of the Association
2. Philip M. Bangura is voted as the Vice President of the Association
3-The Secretary-General of the Association and his Assistant Joseph Sheriee Jida Kiz Kamara while the public Relations Officers position went to Reginald Sawyer is hard Journalist working
4-The Women Representative position went to Hawa Dauda and the assistant Public Relations went to Lydia K. Tucker the Treasurer position went to Madam Kadiatu Kalliu.
The Sierra Leone Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Association continue to brace up their Preparations.
