The Campaign Coordinator, who doubles as the Constituency Iman in what was formerly referred to as Constituency 111 has dispelled assertions that the Western Rural District is the stronghold of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) noting that the Sierra Leone People”s Party (SLPP) has retaken the electorates in the district and President Bio is going to win with no runoff.
Nabieu Bunduka made this disclosure during an interview conducted to assess the level of preparedness of the SLPP as Sierra Leoneans take to the polls next week.
“This is not run off election, currently as I am talking, we are on house-to-house campaign canvassing for more supporters for the victory of the party”, he said, adding that the people, especially those that were opposing the party have realised full well that President Bio is worth voting for on the first ballot because of the level of development he brought into the country in just five years.
He recalled that in the 2018 election, the SLPP had a tight race with the APC in the Western Rural District, noting that the support base of the party amongst rural dwellers has heightened due to the work of the party executives whom he said are having sleepless nights for the sake of victory.
” It is not a dream but a reality that President Bio will beat Dr Samura by bagging about 87% of the total votes cast”, Bunduka challenged opposition parties.
He said the President is appreciated for the human capital development he focuses on right through as a firebrand politician, adding that His Excellency will have to be thanked through the ballot box by giving him a second term.
Supporters of the party in Rokel have intimated to us that the party executives including Chairman Sheriff and Sajor have done their assignment well for the party to secure winnable votes.
