An impeccable information reaching this medium states that at least a fifty year old man identified as Solomon Gbondo has been found dead in his room at Sheku Bambay’s compound in kania old Town Tankoro chiefdom koidu City kono District.
The Impeccable information further disclosed that, the late Solomon Gbondo formerly of kania was a contractor and former worker of SALWACO and was without a biological family during his stay at the aforementioned compound. Sheku Sillah is one of the closest neighbours to the deceased when talking to A-Z he explained that he discovered the remains of the deceased at around 8:20am on the 30th of October 2023 in his room at the above named compound at least three days after his demise.
Mr Sillah further maintained that they only took notice of the deceased death due to the influx of flies in the said compound and the offensive odour that was coming from his room and they forcefully opened the door went inside and found the remains of the deceased already decomposed.
He further told this medium that after they had forcefully unlocked the door and found out that Solomon Gbondo was dead, they informed the town chief of kania old town and the other authorities about the ugly development and that appropriate actions according to him were taken by the authorities concerned.
Sheku Sillah further noted that the deceased few months ago involved in an accident which restricted his movement and other personal activities.
When contacted, the landlord of the said house because of old age and illness could not talk to A-Z and his wife who can talk well refused talking to A-Z on the grounds that she was not around the time the deceased died and that she was not in a good relationship with the deceased.
However rumours making the rounds state that, the wife of the landlord and other people were around the time and day the deceased was found dead but later left the house for the fear of being arrested by the police. Sahr Morchiendeh Ngebai is the town chief of kania old town in Tankoro chiefdom kono District, when also talking to this medium maintained that he was only informed about the incident after the remains of the deceased were found in his room decomposed adding that such has never happened in the kania community in koidu City kono District.
He further noted that they were going to take stringent disciplinary action against the house owner for the carelessness display not to prevent the occurrence of such ugly development in the kania community.
He therefore encouraged all residents of the kania community to always inform the authorities about the people they may want to accommodate in their respective homes and to get in touch with the authorities to avoid such future embarrassment.
“After l have visited the scene of crime l informed the police at the kimbadu police post for further investigation surrounding the death of the deceased and the police immediately came to the scene and took photos of the deceased including other relevant information,” he concluded.
On his part the deputy mayor koidu New Sembehun City Council Sheku Kamara described the deceased as an abandoned corpse the council took responsibility to burry.
He disclosed that two weeks prior to the incident the council also buried at least two similar corpses.
He called on all and sundry to always report such incidents to the appropriate authorities for prompt actions to be taken.
Mr Kamara confirmed to this medium that the koidu New Sembehun City Council has buried the late Solomon Gbondo while police investigation into the matter continues.
