There have been many derogatory languages against a registered business entity in the Republic of Sierra Leone with the name Network Marketing QNET Limited branding them as a criminal entity.
The executive members at both Local and international level frowns at such negative blackmail and summoned members of the fourth Estate to a press conference on the 2nd February, 2023 at the Sierra Palm Hotel in Freetown to clear the air on the recent branding of Q-NET by the Sierra Leone Police as a criminal enterprise.
Speaking at the conference, a Liberian born Lawyer Bestman D. Juah said Qnet is an international e-commerce company incorporated with headquarters in Hong Kong. As an e-commerce business, he said they have been shipping products to Sierra Leone for several years, and few years ago some members decided to become distributors of the product which earned them commissions at the end of the day.
Lawyer Juah further said they normally conducts business via licensing arrangement with local representative in Sierra Leone to represent Qnet as local agent. He adds that the said institution is set to expand its business in Sierra Leone while they are established in more 100 countries worldwide.
He further clarified that Qnet is a law abiding entity and is ready to commit itself to the Laws and regulations of the Land, and that they plan to contribute positively to deprived communities within the countries.
Lawyer Juah further elucidates that Qnet works with combine principles of two major industries; the e-commerce and the direct selling. For the direct selling any individual who is of age can purchase the product from Qnet and choose the opportunity to become and Independent Representative (IR’s).According to him, The IR’s earns commission from any production sales in line with compensation plans. He said Qnet as a business entity conducts training sessions for both old and new IR’s wishing to be entrepreneurs and to pursue the Qnet business opportunity.
The Lawyer said Q-net further deals with wrist watch products and Q- Learning online education service for people without relocating to another country but wish to have international recognized certificate.
He categorically stated that Qnet does not deal with overseas travelling and any individual caught using the above name to conduct unscrupulous business should be dealt with using the full force of the law.
Qnet have been in existence for 25years of excellence services and it is a registered business entity under the Laws of Sierra Leone with registration number: SL240518NETW003104 since 24th May, 2018.
Whereas, Lawyer Pious Sesay of reputable standing opined that Qnet takes a firm position on the adherence to it policies and procedures, and code of conduct, whereby IRs are made to commit to organization policies and procedures which govern their ethical behavior while marketing their product. The organization, he said, have zero tolerance policies towards IRs that flout the law.
Lawyer Sesay emphatically stated that Qnet does not offer employment, guaranteed returns, investment opportunities, travel assistance relating to immigration, or scholarship in exchange for payment. He added that every care is taken to train IRs to act professionally, and they are also provided with a virtual office and access to mentoring guidance, and extensive information on Qnet products and their benefits.
The conference climaxed after responding to questions from members of the media to clarify that the above organization is not a criminal enterprise but rather a credible business with over 700 employees worldwide.
