29yrs old Ballah Mohamed Kuyateh made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1861, Wounding contrary to section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861 and assault Occassioning actual bodily harm contrary to section47 of the offences against the person Act 1861
According to the particulars of offence on the 8th June 2022 at Hill station the western area in Freetown wounded Karim Marrah with intent to do him grievous bodily harm on count two at the same place and date the accused person maliciously wounded and assaulted Karim Marrah.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person No plea taken on his first appearance
The prosecution led two witnesses including the factual witness.
However, Magistrate Gogra committed the matter after he looked at the evidence he said he is of the view that the prosecution has adduced sufficient evidence against the accused person to warrant a committal of the matter to the high court, the accused person was granted bail in the sum of twenty million Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to be resident in the western area sureties to produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown one surety to be employed bail to be approved by the Bench
Inspector Mabel M Tarawalie is prosecuting the committed matter.
