In a collective effort to re-elect President Bio, the Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in Pujehun District who also doubles as Ambassador to Liberia Amb. Eddy Mansallay, over the weekend, pronounced one-time aspirant for Member Parliament for constituency 099 Dr Mustapha Koroma, as the campaign manager for Barri Chiefdom, Pujehun District.
Addressing locals of constituency 099 in Potoru, Amb. Eddie Mansallay expressed thanks and appreciation to the people for attending the event initiated by Dr Koroma. He said all those who attended the event did not attend for the sake of Dr Koroma, but for the general good of the party. He added that it was because of the love they have for Dr Koroma, that caused them to attend the occasion. He said President Bio’s administration is an appreciative administration. He called on the people to keep praying for Dr Koroma for a higher height. He said all of the generosities of Dr Koroma to the constituency were an inspiration from President Bio’s New Direction Administration. He encouraged other locals to replicate the footstep of Dr Koroma in terms of taking development to their people
“From today as the Power vested in Me as SLPP Chairman, I and my executive have Accepted Dr Koroma and endorsed him as campaign manager in this part of the Country”, he pronounced.
Ambassador Mansallay assured the gathering that he would disseminate the same message to the National Chairman of the party with regard to the approval and endorsement of Dr Koroma as SLPP Campaign Manager for constituency 099.
Deputy Ambassador to China Saffa Weah Rogers said he used to know Dr Koroma but the intimacy grew further in the SLPP party line. He endorsed the appointment of Dr Koroma by the Party Chairman as the Campaign Manager for Constituency 099. He encouraged all and sundry to exercise patience as the SLPP party is a grateful party. He made a clarion on all the come in their numbers and vote solidly for President Bio come June 24th 2023.
The Section Chief of Barri Chiefdom Amara Fallay, said they love people who love the Chiefdom which is exactly what Dr Mustapha Koroma has been doing. He added that Dr Koroma had done tremendously well for the People of Barri and another part of the district. He assured Dr Koroma and other stakeholders that they have killed the activities of APC in the Chiefdom.
Alusine Sama, central Chief from Mapkele, confessed that it was only the involvement of Dr Koroma that brought the realization to them that Politics could bring development to the people. He said they felt bad when Dr Koroma was denied a symbol to be a member of parliament due to his development activities across the Barri Chiefdom. He said even the current member of Parliament whom the party shunned Dr Koroma for, had never done any development in the constituency.
The constituency Chairman of Constituency 099 Foday B. Rogers, said Dr Koroma had an indelible imprint in the district in terms of developing the human capital in the chiefdom. He said he could support Dr Koroma in any decision or leadership aspiration Dr Koroma might nurse now and in the future.
Dr Mustapha Koroma, expressed thanks and appreciation the the Party Chairman of the district for pronouncing him as the Campaign Manager for Barri Chiefdom and constituency 099 as a whole. He said he had declined to run for the position of Member of Parliament but registered his indefatigable support to all the other aspirants. He reiterated that his currency move is to join the national fight of the party for the historic re-election of President Julius Maada Bio.
