Notwithstanding the bogus show of strength and rallying of partisans to augment his Kpanga Kabonde chieftaincy bid, former deposed Gender Minister under the then All Peoples Congress Moijueh Kaikai has been resoundingly drubbed in yesterday poll.
Andrew Ibrahim Jaiah Kaikai won the confidence of the Tribal Authorities in a run off to be elected as the new paramount chief.
Andrew Kaikai is said to have won by a landslide 309 out 419 votes cast. Provincial Secretary Moses Gbetu announced the result and declared Andrew Kaikai winner.
Nineteen candidates ran in the concluded election and in spite of the fact that Moijueh Kaikai led in the first ballot the tide change when other tribal authorities shifted their support to Andrew Kaikai.
This election foreshadows future defeat for the APC in Pujehun district, it has been observed.
