The Proprietor of Islamic Dawa Pre- Primary and Junior Secondary Schools, Sheikh Mohamed Tamba Lebbie at Gbekor in Koidu City has appealed to humanitarian organizations and the government of Sierra Leone for additional school structures to accommodate the growing number of pupils in the aforementioned schools.

Sheikh Mohamed Tamba Lebbie appealed when explaining to our correspondent the challenges the said schools are faced with amid the clarion call of President Bio’s Free Quality School Education in the Country.

According to him, the Islamic Dawa Pre-Primary and Junior Secondary Schools lack standard structures, toilet and pure drinking water facilities coupled with the non-approval of teachers by the government among many other things.

Sheikh Lebbie imitated our correspondent that the establishment of the two schools at Gbekor community in Koidu City was a felt need by the community people and as a result, they have at least constructed three classroom buildings.

He added that these classrooms cannot accommodate the present growing number of pupils at the school and therefore appealed to Humanitarian organizations and the government for additional structures to enhance the implementation of the Free Quality school education in that part of the country.

The Proprietor maintained that the growing number of pupils cannot be unconnected with the excellent academic performance of the pupils at both internal and external examinations which have left parents with no option but to send their children to the Schools for Quality Education.

He concluded by entreating the Ministry of Education and other like-minded institutions to come to the aid by approving their teachers and the provision of the highlighted necessities that are absent at the Islamic Dawa Pre-Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in Koidu City, Kono District.
