Sierra Leone President, His Excellency Brig. (Rtd) Dr. Julius Maada Bio has arrived in Marrakech, Morocco, to participate in the Market Days Event of the Africa Investment Forum (AIF) on Tuesday 6th November 2023
The event, which will take place at the Palais des Congrès, is slated for the 8th to 10th of November 2023, with the theme “Unlocking Africa’s Value Chains.”
The event will bring together Heads-of-State, investors, transaction sponsors, decision makers, multinationals, and development finance institutions to advance investment-ready deals toward market close.
His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will share a high-level panel with other Heads of State on the topic “Accelerating Africa’s Economic Transformation.”
The Heads of State will discuss strategies to accelerate industrial development and explore workable solutions to drive value addition on the continent.
The conference is geared toward providing a robust pipeline of deals across the continent for investors seeking opportunities in emerging markets.
The AIF will help to achieve President Julius Maada Bio’s BIG FIVE GAME CHANGERS, particularly, the Human Capital Development Agenda, and the Youth Employment Scheme, a presidential initiatives launched to create employment opportunities for the youth, foster Agricultural productivity and drive Technological Infrastructure for sustained economic growth.
The platform will also provide efficient solutions to investors seeking to channel capital into critical sectors in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the African Development Bank’s High 5s, and the African Union’s Agenda 2030.
President Julius Maada Bio was received by the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Atumanni Dainkeh, Counsul General, Zainab Kandeh, staff of the Sierra Leone Embassy, and the Sierra Leone Community in Morocco.
