A guest Alex Christian Mani on the News review programme on radio New Song 91.3 FM in Kono district has said the leadership of President Bio is not treating the people of Kono District fairly in terms of effective electricity supply.
Alex Christian Mani made the statement during the presentation of the aforementioned radio programme on Sunday 23rd January, 2022 when asked to know his take on the operations of EDSA and EGTC.
Meanwhile, the reason why Mr. Mani made the statement according to him cannot be unconnected with the poor performance and the unfriendly working relationship that exist among EGTC, EDSA and the general public.
It could be recalled that since the two institutions in Koidu City took light just after the AFCON match between Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast on the 16th January, 2022 up to press time there has been no electricity supply in the municipality of Koidu.
However, local gossips have also blamed the fourteen (14) Paramount Chiefs, members of Parliament in Kono District including other key stakeholders who have the opportunity to interface with the Minister of Energy and Power Kanjah Sesay, the Vice President of Sierra Leone Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh among others to address the problem.
However, some citizens in Koidu City have lavished praises on the Mayor of the Koidu New Sembehun City Council (KNSCC) Amb. Matthew Komba Sam for calling on the Central Government for the immediate transfer of the Engineers of both EGTC and EDSA due to the ugly situation but rather all his intervention to salvage the situation have proven futile over the years.
