President Julius Maada Bio hosted former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at State House for a high-level meeting focused on enhancing regional cooperation within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
During their discussions, Madam Sirleaf congratulated President Bio on his recent election as Chairperson of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS. Her commendation underscored the significance of collaborative leadership in addressing the pressing challenges facing the West African region from economic development to security and stability.
In a statement following the meeting, President Bio emphasized the importance of unity among ECOWAS member states in achieving shared regional goals.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf an esteemed advocate for democracy, peace, and development reaffirmed her commitment to supporting ECOWAS under President Bio’s leadership.

The meeting not only highlighted the enduring relationship between Sierra Leone and Liberia but also reinforced both leaders’ commitment to regional stability and cooperation.
