Addressing thousands of his supporters at the Kailahun Town Field, President Bio intimated that Kailahun was neglected by former President Koroma’s administration in terms of development due to its notorious stance for the Sierra Leone People’s Party. He added that Kailahun had supported him and the SLPP in thick and thin and therefore, gave an undying hope and assurance that his New Direction administration would provide whatever support and facilities others provided in other districts.
President Bio continued that the 20 years of redemption of Kailahun District from perpetual darkness, was a testament that indeed his New Direction administration cares for and cherishes Kailahun District.
Making a case for his inevitable re-election, President Bio told locals of Kono that they made no mistake in voting him to serve as their President in 2018. He disclosed that he had made tremendous gains in terms of good governance. President Bio added that he promised the nation of Free Quality Education which he delivered.
He added that just because of the enviable gains he made in the implementation of Free Quality Education, he was the only President in Africa that was handpicked by the United Nations Secretary-General to Co-Chair the Transform Education Summit in the United Nations. He furthered that due to the outstanding leaders, he was also crowned Africa Leader of the Year 2022. President Bio said the administration had reduced the maternal mortality rate by 60% according to WHO report.
President Bio also blasted the All People’s Congress Party leadership especially the former President Koroma for financing all the terror attacks on democracy in the country. He added that all the incendiary inciteful messages from Adebayor are orchestrated and financed by former President Koroma. He assured the people of Kailahun and the country at large, that because the APC had already lost the June 24th elections, the more reason the leadership of APC wants to disturb the peace of Sierra Leone.
