President Bio Bids Farewell to Ambassador Yumkella

His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio hosted a farewell ceremony at State House for Ambassador Mohammed Foday Yumkella, who is set to assume his new role as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea on July 8, 2025.

This diplomatic appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two neighboring West African nations.

During the ceremony, President Bio expressed deep appreciation for Ambassador Yumkella’s dedicated service and extensive experience in diplomacy. “The strong relationship between Sierra Leone and Guinea is invaluable,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of ongoing collaboration between the two countries.
