With support from President Bio, the Chief Whip of the Fifth Parliament of the Second Republic of Sierra Leone Hon. Dickson Momoh Rogers, on Saturday 8th of April 2023, handed over 35 motorbikes to youth groups in Pujehun town, and the SLPP District Executive also received 70 motorbikes for onwards distribution to other Party members across the district.
One of the beneficiaries of the motorbikes, the Chairman of the Pujehun District Youth Council Mohamed Kallon in an audio-visual format, acknowledged receipt of four (4) motorbikes handed over to the Pujehun District Youth Council (PDYC) by the Honorable Member of Parliament representing Constituency 100, Hon. Dickson Momoh Rogers.
Chairman Mohamed Kallon intimated that such commendable handing over of four (4) motorbikes by the Chief Whip of the Fifth Parliament of the Second Republic of Sierra Leone, is in fulfilment of the promise made by His Excellency President Rtd. Brigadier Dr Julius Maada Bio to the Pujehun District Youth Council during his recent presidential walking visit in the district.
For the edification of the public, he said the four (4) motorbikes will be allocated to the remaining chiefdom youth chairmen who didn’t benefit from the ten (10) motorbikes distributed to the chiefdom youth chairmen sometime last year.
Mohamed Kallon continued that the Pujehun District Youth Council, therefore, wished to extend its deepest and indelible thanks and appreciation to His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio for the timely provision of mobility support to chiefdom youth chairmen across the fourteen chiefdoms of Pujehun District.
He said PDYC also noted with keen attention that the visit of the President yielded tremendous dividends as many other youth groups received motorbikes and other development packages from the President with the prima facie purpose of monitoring government programmes across the district.
“The PDYC on behalf of all youth groups in the district, assures the general public that plans are at an advanced stage to put forward a ceremonious event (either in writing or other official means), in recognition and appreciation of President Bio’s assiduous leadership and support to the youth of Pujehun District and beyond”, he assured.
Chairman Mohamed Kallon expressed thanks to President Bio for fulfilling his promise to PDYC within a shortest possible time. He equally acknowledged and appreciated Hon. Dickson Momoh Rogers in particular and all other stakeholders for facilitating and coordinating the entire process in ensuring that the promise made by President Bio was translated into fruition.
