As part of his continuous walking visits across the country, President Julius Maada Bio has replicated same visit to Masam Kpaka Chiefdom in Pujehun District, where he urged locals to be conscious, focused and determined towards ensuring his re-election.
He also made a tantalizing assurance that he would never go into a run-off with the All People’s Congress Party (APC).
In his address, President Bio intimated that he chose to visit Masam Kpaka because Masam Kpaka remained few of the chiefdoms he never visited during his previous walking visits. President Bio expressed elation over the outstanding performance of the school pupils in Pujehun in terms of education. He encouraged the pupils to take education very seriously as education has the possibilities to make them Ministers, lawyers, Bank governors among others.
President Bio highlighted that education is the only asset that would remove poverty in a family, community and the country at large which was the more reason he chose and prioritized education as his flagship program. He also expressed great appreciation to the teachers and also encouraged the communities to equally appreciate the work and sacrifice of the teachers. He added that all of his deliverables were premised in his manifesto and therefore, considered himself as the people’s servant for delivering on his 2018 New Direction manifesto.
“I am your servant, the people’s servant. So I encourage you all to massively contribute towards my re-election as I will never go into a run-off with the APC”, he said.
In her statement, First Lady fatima Bio expressed no doubt in Pujehun district for their unshakable support for President Bio. She therefore, expressed thanks and appreciation to Pujehun for being loyal supporters towards president Bio Visions. She encouraged them not to relent to support and re-elect President Bio. He assured Pujehun that their own share of the Free Sanitary pads would be distributed immediately after Ramadan across all the chiefdoms.
In his welcoming statement, the Paramount Chief of Masam Kpaka Alhaji John Rogers, expressed admiration for the enviable leadership of President Bio particularly towards the Free Quality Education. He lauded the payment of school fees for school pupils, school feeding, provision of learning materials among others. He added that the ‘hands of our girls’ campaign had yielded tremendous dividend which precipitated Masam Kpaka to record the highest passing mark at BECE level.
Paramount Chief John Rogers also intimated President Bio that the youth are robustly involved agriculture through the chiefdoms youth farms which is a laudable venture in the Bio’s Administration. He sent a strong message on behalf of the people of Masam Kpaka , that they are ready to give 100% votes to President Bio in the June 24th Elections. He therefore, concluded by encouraging locals of Masam Kpaka and Pujehun District as a whole, to massively take part in President Bio’s re-election without run-off.
The District Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party in Pujehun Ambassador Eddie Mansallay, assured President Bio that there is no single soul in Pujehun who has a modicum of doubt towards President Bio’s re-election without run-off due to his avalanche of development laurels. He encouraged other appointees not to lose focus on President Bio’ development agenda. He expressed thanks and appreciation to President Bio for appointing locals of Pujehun in various positions in his government especially the ECOWAS Speaker, the first Lands Commissioner General, the Deputy Commissioner General of the NRA among others.
Honorable Member of Parliament representing constituency 102 Honorable Mattia Rogers, said in his Capacity as the Deputy Chairman on the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, expressed thanks to president Bio for ensuring that Pujehun enjoys uninterrupted energy supply after 30 years.
He assured President Bio that majority of APC supporters in the District have declared their support for President Bio’s re-elections. He also anticipated that more declaration would be done in the coming days.
