The Police Wives Association, led by Mrs. Matilda Doris Sellu, paid a courtesy visit to Retired Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Morie Lengor, the Minister of Internal Affairs. This visit was a gesture of appreciation for his recent appointment as the first retired police officer to hold this prestigious position.

During the meeting, Mrs. Sellu expressed the purpose of their visit, congratulating Retired AIG Lengor on his appointment and extending heartfelt thanks to His Excellency Brigadier Retired Dr. Julius Maada Bio for entrusting him with this important role.

In her address, Mrs. Sellu highlighted the various developmental initiatives undertaken by the Police Wives Association since she assumed leadership. She also appealed to Minister Lengor for support in improving the conditions and well-being of police personnel.

In response, Minister Lengor expressed his gratitude for the recognition and warm visit. He stated, “The Ministry of Internal Affairs requires your support and cooperation to help us maintain this position.” He encouraged the Association to submit their Strategic Development Plan and offered his assistance in identifying areas where he could provide support. Minister Lengor reassured Mrs. Sellu and her team of his commitment to collaborative efforts.

The meeting concluded with the presentation of a souvenir to Minister Lengor as a token of appreciation.

In a separate engagement, the Police Wives Association visited Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Mr. Sahr Yomba Senesi at Police Headquarters. They extended congratulatory messages in light of his recent appointment. DIGP Senesi warmly welcomed Mrs. Sellu and her team, expressing his gratitude for their recognition and reaffirming his ongoing support for the Association. The courtesy visit concluded with a group photo and the presentation of a souvenir.
