Police Witness Testifies in Murder Matter

The Third Police Witness (PW3) Sergeant 2668 Bangura O. who is attached at the Kissy Police Station Freetown has testified before Justice Aiah Simon Alieu at the High Court in Freetown on the 1st July, 2021 in a matter involving the accused person, Umaru Abdulia Jalloh for allegedly Osman Kargbo.

The accused person is charge with one count charge contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.

According to police charge sheets, the accused person is charged with one count. It is alleged in count one that the accused person on the 17th March, 2019 at Kissy Buy Pass Road stabbed Osman Kargbo which resulted to his death.

Testifying in court, PW3 said some of his duties are to register the number of cases and inquiry into files and a custodian of all court exhibits.

He said he recognized the accused person in the dock. He said he was on duty on the 22rd March, 2019 at the exhibit store at Kissy, when Detective Inspector Suliaman Kamara handed over to him one brown handle kitchen knife. Witness said he recorded it on the exhibit book with serial number 61/2019.

B. Hasting Spain is representing the State while H. Momoh is representing the accused person.  The matter has been adjourned to the 8th July, 2021.
