PW10: Detective Police Constable Hassan Bangura attached to the scientific scene of crime unit. He recalled on Thursday 20th October 2022 after the CID when a team of investigators headed by Inspector Kasegbama arrived and informed him to witness a postmortem examination which he honored at the Connaught hospital mortuary.
At the said mortuary, the remains of Sinnah was displayed on the postmortem slab in the presence of the investigators, the Pathologist, and relatives of the said deceased.
One of the Relatives Idrisan Kamara identified to Dr. Owizz Koroma the body of Sinnah before the autopsy commenced. He said he (PW10} took series of photographs and later printed them after which the said pictures were kept in a photographic album and kept in custody at the CID.
Cross examination by Roland Wright, the witness cannot recall the total number of people present at the scene of postmortem. But he confirmed that there were two more doctors including Dr. Kojo Carew assisting Dr. Owizz and both doctors were in constant bitter discussion. He also confirmed he was present from the start of the process.
Asked whether he heard Dr. Owizz saying he had dreamt about the autopsy, the witness said he did not hear that.
The witness denied knowing all the relatives of the deceased and Lawyers representing the accused who were present except Idrissa.
Quizzed on his role as a scene of crime officer whether the mortuary was a scene where the crime was committed, the witness said no.
Meanwhile Magistrate Ngegba refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown. The matter is adjourned to the 9th March 2023 for further hearing.
