As Preliminary Investigation continues on the matter which Paramount Chief Koblo Queen II took to court, the third prosecution witness, Abdulai Dumbuya has narrated steps he took to further investigate the matter.

Led in his examination in chief by Sergeant Dwight Marcathy, Detective police Constable 13195 Dumbuya A attached at Cybercrime unit at the Criminal Investigation Department recognized complainant and the accused in the dock.

He said on the 24th of March 2022, a transfer case an enquiry file with serial number 112/2022 containing complainant statement, witness statements and the caution statement made by the accused, including one pen drive containing audio recording.

  He said having receiving the file, on the 28th March 2022 with detective corporal 10350 Samuel Serry obtained additional caution statement from the accused. He said at the end, the accused admitted it to be true and correct by affixing his right hand 5humb print witness by detective corporal Samuel Milton Serry.

The witness said the pen drive was sent to the cyber lab for examination, transcription and analysis. He said the report on the lab was done by detective inspector Mohamed Jusu. The report was tended as exhibit Z 1-3.

In continuation of his examination in chief, the witness said after putting his findings together the file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecution for advice.

He said on the 25th April 2022, the accused was charged with the offence of threatening language.

Cross examined by defense counsel W Gerber the witness said he treat the matter as an investigation.

He said based on his investigation, the recording was done by prosecution witness number two who sent it to complainant.

As a season investigator, the witness said one of the major elements of threatening language is to lure someone to fear. He said it was based on the above he charged the accused to court.

Defense counsel further renewed his application for bail.

Magistrate Sahr Kekura granted bail to the accused in sum one hundred million Leones with one surety 8n like sum. He said the surety should be responsible person resident 8n Freetown and that his bail should be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar. He adjourned the matter to the 2nd of June 2022.

Magistrate Sahr Kekura told defense counsel W Gerber to admonish his client for safe conduct.
