The Assistant Inspector-General of police East, Mr. Mustapha Solomon Kambeh, has outlined his policing strategies ahead of the SLPP Executive Elections scheduled for Saturday the 11th September, 2021.

The AIG started by expressing his profound thanks and appreciation to the wider populace in the Eastern region and in particular Kenema District for the unflinching support and cooperation accorded to him as the security chief of the region, since he assumed office in March 2021.

He reminded all that it has not been a smooth security exercise, but with series of engagements with relevant key stakeholders, much has been done to improve the security of the region.

He maintained that with frequent engagements with the Media, Community Base Organizations (CBO), Women, and Youth Leaders on the drive of sustainable security enhancement, all can attest that they are enjoying a relatively calm security environment in the region and on that backdrop he is still asking all sundry to intimate the Police on a daily basis on issues that have the potential to cause a backsplash on the path to achieve sustainable security.

AIG Solomon Mustapha Kambeh revealed how he would manage the remaining SLPP executive elections, he categorically stated that his Police team would continue to display their unending professionalism, but strongly warned that any attempt by individuals or groups of people, who might tend to disrupt the electioneering process by even wearing printed T-shirts of their persons of interest during the polling days of the 11th, 18th, and 25th September 2021 respectively,  would taste the bitterness of the law. He therefore called on all and sundry to work by the rules of the race as the police would not encourage any forms of cultural display or dance during the polling period, and emphasized that the police will only encourage those with the valid party cards at the polling Centers.

He again said his office is open to the public and anybody with security concern to visit his office or any Police Divisional headquarters for a remedy of the issue.

In conclusion, the AIG implored the robust effort of the people in the entire region since no good police institution could succeed without the support of the community people and that is why he always engage Security Stakeholders including the Media especially Community Radio stations to make the people abreast of the security information.
