Pleasant Foundation Sierra Leone, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting education without discrimination, celebrated a major milestone today in Rokel, Freetown. The organization marked its 10th anniversary of providing school materials and support to underprivileged children across the country.
The celebration, attended by distinguished guests, board members, supporters, and beneficiaries, was a testament to the foundation’s unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation through education. The Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Marian Pleasant Ngaiteh Aruna, Esq., was represented by Madam Constance Tieh, who expressed gratitude to God for the foundation’s success and thanked the staff, board members, and supporters for their dedication and commitment to the cause.
Madam Tieh urged the children to prioritize their education, work hard, and strive for excellence, emphasizing that education is a powerful tool capable of transforming their lives and shaping their futures.
Project Coordinator, Precious M. Kargbo, highlighted the foundation’s achievements over the past decade and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to its mission. He also thanked the donors, volunteers, and supporters for their contributions, which have made a tangible difference in the lives of countless children.
As part of its ‘Each One, Educate One’ campaign, the foundation distributed school materials to 100 students in Rokel, Freetown. The parents of the beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Marian Pleasant Ngaiteh Aruna, Esq., for her tireless efforts in supporting their children’s education.
The Acting Head, Mr. Osman Kamara, admonished the children to take their studies seriously and make the most of the opportunities provided by the foundation. The Community Pro, Issa King, also urged the children to stay away from drugs and social vices, stressing the importance of education in shaping their future.
As it looks to the future, the foundation remains steadfast in its mission to provide educational support to underprivileged children across Sierra Leone.
