Centre of Advocacy and Sustainable Empowerments (CASE) – Sierra Leone was selected by Plan International on Thursday 1 September 2022 to give Gender Transformative Awards to deserving people from across Sierra Leone in recognition of their meritorious service to transform women and to put them in the lime light of society. The ceremony took place at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown.
According to Plan International Sierra Leone, to make the process free, fair and transparent, CASE-SALONE is the only Organisation from the provinces that was selected to be part of the screening committee and that applicants were screened which that made it possible for deserving people to be awarded.
The Director of CASE- Salone said that “ I am pleased to inform you all that CASE-SALONE will always continue to strengthen synergy with like-minded organisations to break the barriers that stifle women’s empowerment in the country and to honourably acknowledge those in the fore front’’
Madam Rassie Bah noted that “this fight is winnable! This is a start for another journey to stand strong to inspire motivate and get the desirable changes in our communities. Its pays a lot when you volunteer. We are thankful some people are appreciating our work in our communities.’’
