Phone Theft: Laborer Sentenced To 24 Months Imprisonment

24 years old Morie Kabba a Labourer made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 1st July 2020 at Sani Abacha Street the western area in Freetown Stole one infinix Smart 7 plus mobile phone valued two thousand, four hundred new(Le 2,400,00) property of Doris Kelfala.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person; he pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor Inspector Mohamed Kamara told the court that there are no available records against the accused person.

The accused person was legally unrepresented and he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.

 Magistrate Gogra having listened to the plea mitigation sentenced the accused person to twenty four months imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown.
