Amara Kamara, a petty trader, has made his first appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown on a single count charge of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act, 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Sunday, 21st December 2025, at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) compound, located at No. 21 Battery Street, Kingtom, Western Area, Freetown, the accused allegedly stole Hisense air-conditioner copper pipes and other assorted items valued at a total of Thirty-Seven Thousand Leones (Le 37,000). The property is said to belong to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police Ibrahim S. Mansaray, applied for a short adjournment.
Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown.
The matter has been adjourned to 6th January 2026. A. Bome Esq. is representing the defendant.
