Petty Trader Granted Le20m bail

30yrs old Sheriff Koroma a Petty trader made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Fraudulent Conversion Contrary to section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 10th April 2022 at Regent Road hill station the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property one hundred and forty (140) leaves red boards each valued one hundred thousand Leones all to total value of fourteen million Leones (14,000,000) entrusted to him by Foday Sesay for the purpose of sale.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person on his first appearance and he pleaded not guilty

However, Magistrate Gogra granted the accused person bail in the sum of twenty million Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to be resident in the western area.

 Sureties to produce valid identity card depicting his or her addresses in Freetown.

 One surety to be employed in a reputable institution in Sierra Leone, bail to be approved by the Bench

Inspector Musu E Kpulun is prosecuting the matter adjourned to 8th August 2022 for further hearing.
