That was part of a screaming headline in one of our yellow journalism Newspapers that want to see President Bio out of power by any means even if it meant publishing silly headlined. Just only that, they would conjure up any unimaginable occurrences to satisfy their whims and caprices, the full headline read: “paopa, Bio must go in 2023” says SLPP Stalwarts.
A stalwart is a loyal supporter who does a lot of work especially for a political party. If you ask those so-called journalists to show you who those stalwarts are they would never show you because they do not exist. These are some of the tricks of the journalism trade. They tell you unverifiable things and if you are gullible you accept them as truth and begin to pass them from person to person. The statement is a paradox.
A chameleonic member can even sabotage his/her party but not a stalwart. From the word Go we can see that the newspaper has been peddling garbage and semiliterate stuff because you cannot give what you don’t have. Exmihilo nitil fit (out of nothing comes nothing). And that newspaper had unfortunately passed as one fastest selling newspapers but has since lost its stance and has been descending to the depths of falsity. Where are the faceless or xx stalwarts?
Because comparisons are odious they maintained former President Tejan Kabba as a man who gave appointments to North-Western citizens as compared to President Bio whom they tagged as a regionalist and tribalist by giving appointment to only South Easterners. In their purile thinking they never mentioned anything about former President Ernest Bai Koroma so that history will be erased about his sacking of South Easterners like Dr. J.D. Rogers of the Bank of Sierra Leone and Dr. Karimu of the National Revenue Authority among many others they are mentioned natural theft and debt glossing over the massive debt the Koroma government left behind having inherited no debt by the Tejan –Kabbah regime.
Anyone who gives the least credence to that trash of an article should have his/her brain examined.

The Fire Brigade exists to give meaning to the proverbs: Prevention is better than cure.” The brigade has on many occasions been subjected to many unfair criticisms. On their way to extinguish fires sometimes they are interpreted by vehicles and traffic jams and cannot be timely. This is also a lack of fire extinguishers compounding the problem. But most times after their late arrivals they present a spread of the fires.
The fact is that the mental hospital cannot contain all the mad men in towns. But their activities should be carefully watched. A madman playing with fire has caused the loss of millions of Leones. Madman could also inflict bodily harm with weapons like knives. All these should be carefully watched. Lunatics cause more harm during full moon to which their illness is connected.
Man of Integrity
These are quite a few men of integrity in the community and they should be applauded. One such man of integrity is the Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mr. M.K. Konneh who is rather being reviled by reckless opposition people who see nothing good in anyone or any activity that is government- related.
Without any promotion from the opposition he has countermanded the result of the recent Kono bye elections until further notice. What a man! Hitch your wagon to a star!
