The Executive Director of the Patriotic Advocacy Network in Sierra Leone, Paul Koroma has confirmed that they are partnering with Divine Trading Company to organize a massive educating competition which will take place in November 2023 for all major schools in Freetown.
Director Koroma made this statement during a school tour at the Methodist Girls High school compound, on September 18th 2023, at Wilkinson road, Freetown.
The Director said that the mandate of PAN is to work with schools across the country which has created a very long and open relationship with a lot of school pupils and their administrations, and this has created relationship with other institutions such Divine Premium Trading who are sales agents for Cowbell products.
Their partnership ahead of the competition will help to educate, inform and reenergize pupils across Freetown. He added that members of PAN will not participate in the competition rather pupils from different schools based on their strength, weakness and familiarization with competitions will be given the opportunity.
Koroma confirmed that the school tour will take place between schools in the East and Western part of Freetown from the 18th– 29th September 2023. Therefore, the tour is geared towards conceiving different schools to participate in the competition come November 2023.
While the Marketing Head of Divine Premium Trading, Fawaz Milton Kanu, sheds more light on the essence of the school tour. He said, Premium trading is working on a project called the ‘cowbell kapu sense challenge’ in which the project targets civic education which includes debate, public speaking, spelling bee and quiz competition. Fawaz intimated that all this is just to reach out to as many schools as possible, and to shake the brain of pupils and to create the awareness of students on these cowbell products especially promoting the product.
Furthermore, Fawaz implores that they cannot reveal the star price of the competition because the discussion is still in discussion with management, but what they can promise every school participating is that the star price is going to be huge and enticing because Cowbell as an institution doesn’t do small things, he said.
Meanwhile, Milton also admonished that the partnership and project of cowbell is a lifetime project which will see a lot of engagements and introduction of new products that will be brought out not only to schools but to the public, but working in schools through this outreach is a very lucrative approach that they are imploring as an organization through schools in Freetown. The competition will be launched in November and afterwards it will commence proper, Fawaz admits.
Conclusively, Michaela Bangura a pupil from the Methodist Girls High School and member of PAN SL expressed her excitement to achieve more goals with PAN SL and Cowbell together, “for the cowbell kapu sense competition, we have already started our preparation from all angles of debate, public speaking, quiz and spelling competition”. She continues that even though there will be a lot of schools participating in the competition but the goal of their school is not just to participate but to win, because they have been doing it, so it will just be a trend to continue doing it.
