A Pakistan national has narrated before a magistrate court in Freetown how he was allegedly robbed by two former police officers and another accused, as the three men appeared once again before the court to answer charges of conspiracy and robbery with aggravation.

The accused Emmanuel Lassayo Jusu, 41, a former police officer; Sellieu Saccoh, 37, popularly known as “Sharkor”; and Joseph Jeremiah M’bosa, 34, also a former police officer made another appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1.

They are charged on two counts: conspiracy contrary to law, and robbery with aggravation, contrary to Section 23(1)(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916, as repealed and replaced by Section 1 of the Schedule to the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act, 2021 (Act No. 6 of 2022).

According to the particulars of offence, the accused persons, on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 December 2025, at the Regent Palace Hotel in the Western Area of Freetown, conspired together and with other persons unknown to commit a felony, namely robbery with aggravation.

Count Two further alleges that on 9 December 2025, at the same location, the defendants being armed with a pistol (CF 98) bearing serial number SLP-17-018635-275 robbed Javed Saleem, a Pakistan national, of the sum of eleven thousand United States dollars (US$11,000) and Le 2,500 in physical cash. The charge further states that immediately before or during the robbery, the defendants used personal violence on the complainant.

When the charges were read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.

During proceedings, lead defence counsel J. M. Jengo, Esq., cross-examined Prosecution Witness One, Javed Saleem, who told the court that he recognized all three accused persons. He recalled the events of the alleged robbery on the stated date. At that stage, the defence applied for a short adjournment to conclude the cross-examination.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Jah refused bail, citing the serious nature of the offences charged.

The matter was adjourned to 11 February 2026. Inspector Mabel M. Tarawally, Esq. is prosecuting the case.
