Three accused persons including the Store Assistant at Caritas Daniel Lasayo, David Senesie labourer, Moses Sandy labourer and Patrick Lamin former pupil of Saint Edwards Secondary School on Thursday 23rd February 2023, made their first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No 1 on Pademba Road, Freetown on two counts ranging from conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law and store breaking and larceny contrary to Section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet on count 1, David Senesie, Daniel Lasayo, Moses Sandy and Patrick Lamin on Friday 21st November 2022, at Caritas, store Kingtom, Freetown, conspired together and with other person’s unknown to commit to commit a felony to wit store breaking and larceny.
Count 2 states that all accused persons on the same date and place with intent to steal, broke and entered into the store of Caritas Kingtom, Freetown, and stole therein 53 Multi Grain food Powder valued one hundred and six million four hundred and seventy five Leones ninety four cent, 30 boxes of clothing valued twenty four million three hundred thousand Leones and 150 piece of blankets valued nine million six hundred thousand Leones property of Caritas Freetown. Accused is on Police bail.
The matter is adjourned to the 5th March 2023, ASP Ibrahim Mansaray is Prosecuting the matter.
