58yrs old Hassan Sawanneh a business man made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Obtaining money by false pretences contrary to the section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on diverse date between February to March 2019 in Freetown with intent to defraud obtained the sum of seventeen million Leones(17,000,000) from Michael Lebbeh Coker by falsely pretending that you have a piece of Land for sale knowing the same to be false.
The charges was read and explained to the accused person and pleaded not guilty.
The accused person has made ten appearances before Magistrate Peter Gogra and was put on bail but could not meet with the bail bond.
However, after several appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra the witness was absent the accused person was discharge pursuant to section 94 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965, while Deputy Superintendent of police Eric A Deen Prosecuted the matter.
