30yrs old John Thoronka a Masoner made another appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Wounding with intent contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1861, Wounding contrary to section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861and assault occaisioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861
According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 18th June 2022 at small road Gloucester village the mountain rural district the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded Mohamed Kamara with intent to do him grievous bodily harm and Assaulted the said Mohamed Kamara in a manner thereby occaisioning her actual bodily harm
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty
However Magistrate Gogra granted the accused person bail in the sum of twenty million Leones with two sureties in like sum both sureties must be resident in the western area both sureties to produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown one surety to be employed bail to be approved by the Bench
Inspector Edna Musu Kpulun prosecuting the matter adjourned to the 3rd August 2022 for further hearing.
