Mohamed Turay a business man made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20(1)(Iv) (a) of the larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 7th March 2021 in Freetown the accused person Mohamed Turay fraudulently converted to his own use and benefits certain property that is to say one white ML 350 Benz with registration number ARC 211 value 12000 USD entrusted to him by Massah Mariam Theresa for the purpose of sale.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and pleaded not guilty.
Counsel representing the accused person A.O Gbla renewed his previous Bail applications on behalf of the accused person.
However, Magistrate Gogra granted the accused person bail in the sum of one hundred and fifty million Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to be resident in Freetown one surety to produce a valid National Passport for identification one surety to be employed in a government institution in Sierra Leone bail to be approved by the Bench Assistant Superintendent of police M. Barrie prosecuting. The matter adjourned to the 29th August 2022 for further hearing.
