22yrs old Peter Justice Sessie a bike rider and 22yrs old Augustine Moijueh a bike rider made another appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law and Larceny from the person contrary to section 14 of the Larceny Act 1916
According to the particulars of offence on the 9th June 2022 along Wilkinson road the western area in Freetown conspired together and with other persons unknown to commit a crime to wit Larceny.
On count two at the same place and date stole from the person Mary Sebatu Kanneh the Sum of twenty million Leones (20,000,000) property of the said Mary Sebatu Kanneh.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and they pleaded not guilty.
Led in evidence by sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai Prosecution witness number four Sergeant 8576 Issa Kamara attached to the exhibit office at the Criminal Investigation Department Cid headquarters Pademba Road Freetown some of his duties are to ensure the registration and safe keeping of all exhibit brought to the said station related to matters reported for investigation.
He recalled on the 4th July 2022 he was at the said office, Sergeant 13875 Kumba E attached to the breaking and larceny office at the said office handed over to him one black and yellow HLX Boxer Motorbike with key with registration number ATE 835 which RCE97/2022.
Since then it was in his custody the said Motorbike was produced and tendered in court as exhibit A and the key was tender as exhibit B.
However, Magistrate Ngegba refused bail and sent both accused persons to the male correctional center in Freetown matter was adjourned to the 27th August 2022.
