27yrs old Shefumie Smith made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Shop Breaking and Larceny contrary to section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Friday 18th November 2022 at No.20 West Street the western area in Freetown with intent to steal broke and entered into the shop of Hardy Jalloh and stole therein one hundred packet focus optin Napkin Value three hundred and fifty New Leones (350) each all to the total sum of thirty five thousand new Leones (33,000) property of Hardy Jalloh whilst in the custody of Ibrahim Yillah.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person and pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor Musu Edna Kpulun told the bench that her witness is absent and seeks for a short adjournment date.
Main while, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown, and was matter adjourned to the 5th December 2022 for further hearing.
